Position: President


Mission Statement: Miami University Women in Business (MUWIB) seeks to unite, enable, and inspire women in their effort towards reaching a higher level of business excellence through education and experience.

As President of the largest business organization on campus, I am responsible for leading WIB's Executive Committee of 14 members in addition to fulfilling WIB's mission for our 250 members. Throughout my term as President, my team and I have focused on achieving the following goals:

  • Provide unique opportunities for meaningful professional development

  • Cultivate partnerships with local and national corporations and organizations that are diverse in size and industry

  • Organize new, innovative events that enable members to step outside of their comfort zones while gaining insight regarding business topics

  • Foster an inclusive environment through which members gain the networking skills necessary to effectively communicate their personal brand

With these goals in mind, I collaborated with the Executive Committee to transform the Women in Business membership experience. Rather than simply partnering with companies to offer weekly presentations, our team focused on planning events to fully engage each member and identifying meaningful topics linked with tangible professional development skills. Some of our most successful events included:

  • Pre-Career Fair Networking Night: an event held on the evening before Miami's campus-wide Career Fair in which our members were given an exclusive opportunity to network with 13 desirable companies, including: Abercrombie & Fitch, P&G, E & J Gallo Winery, PNC Bank, PepsiCo, and many others. 

  • Faculty Mentorship Program: launched a new initiative that paired each WIB member with an esteemed faculty member within their specific area of interest, and offered opportunities for career, extra-curricular, and academic advising. 


  • Corporate Trip to Chicago: hosted a professional networking experience for 20 WIB members in which we traveled to Chicago to tour the offices of 3 major companies: Coyote Logistics, Groupon, and Deloitte. Watch the video below to see the the highlights of our weekend visit!

  • Executive Conference: partnered with Miami's Center for Business Leadership (CBL) to plan a 1-day conference centered around the theme of Building An Authentic Personal Brand. The conference The highlight of the conference was the keynote speaker I identified and recruited, Aaron Ryan, Vice President of Global Partnerships for the NBA. We also offered 3 breakout workshops led by presenters from Cardinal Health, Ingersoll Rand, and P&G. Learn more about the Executive Conference under the Academic Projects tab in my Portfolio!
